FAQs

CBD (Cannabidiol), is extracted from the leaves of the Hemp plant and has over 100 compounds. This is completely legal and safe and won’t alter your behaviour in any way or cause any addictive effects. The human body is naturally made up of a network of receptors, known as the endocannabinoid system, this plays an important part in keeping your body balanced and functioning.

CBD is often mistaken for Cannabis or Marijuana but there are several varieties in the Cannabis family. Marijuana is like the sister to Hemp, containing higher levels of the psychoactive components known as THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), which gives you that high feeling when smoked or ingested.

Just remember Marijuana contains THC and gets you high. Hemp contains CBD and will not get you high but contains many more benefits.

CBD works cohesively with the bodies ECS (endocannabinoid system). This ECS is rather complex but plays an important part in keeping your body harmonised. It has been linked to controlling your metabolism, chronic pain, inflammation, immune system, learning and memory, sleep cycle, cardiovascular system, stress and many more links to the body. CBD can be used in a natural way to promote a sense of calm and wellbeing.

The most notable effects of CBD are real but subtle. CBD is more about a sense of calm and wellbeing, as opposed to the way you feel, so a bit like an ahh moment when you’ve had a massage.

The ECS is the master regulatory system of the body. It communicates with the other biological systems in our body helping us to maintain our balance and staying healthy.

Okay this might be biased, but we love our gummies because they’re a pleasurable way of taking CBD and easy to manage your dosing and have the same effects as taking oils. They’re also convenient to carry around, keep in your office drawer, in the glove compartment of your car, deep pockets or even in your bag. They also have a deliciously fruity after taste.

CBD is not the compound that gets you high. The intoxicating feeling from smoking or ingesting Cannabis is the reaction of another compound called THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). This will cause alterations to your behaviour, whereas CBD does not.

Everyone is uniquely built, so there isn’t really a standard dose that works for everyone. Results are individual and having a higher amount doesn’t always mean better result. CBD depends upon your weight, metabolism and general health at the time of taking.

For a first-time user we strongly recommend starting low and going slow on your daily dose and have a routine for 30 days. From this point listen to your body and see how the active compounds affect you. Once you’ve figured this out and what time of day works best for you, we recommend taking once or twice a day.

CBD isn’t about making you feel a certain way, it is focussing on what you don’t feel. It’s a step into leading a life that is balanced, eating well and making sure you stay hydrated.

The FSA advises that the maximum daily dosage for a healthy adult should not exceed 70mg.
